Moolarben Underground Coal Expansion

Located within the Western Coalfields of New South Wales, the Moolarben Coal mine is a world class open cut coal asset producing export quality thermal coal. This project is a brownfield underground coal expansion within the existing open cut operation. At full production the mine will produce 17mtpa from both the open and underground operations.

The project scope involved MIA facility and access roads, high wall stabilisation above four portal entries, box cut access road, tunnels under existing roads and rail, 2km of overland conveyors, ROM pad, stacker reclaimer, product pad and reclaim tunnel.
