Port of Brisbane Berth 11 and 12

    Port of Brisbane, Queensland

The Port of Brisbane has become Australia’s fastest growing container port in percentage terms and needed significant expansion. Part of this expansion involved the construction of its newest container facilities, Berths 11 and 12, with a total quay length of 660m and a total area of 26 hectares.

EXEGEN was the lead surveyor for this expansion which included approximately 400 piles, both vertical and raked, for Berth 11 (380 metres long and 34 metres wide with cast in-situ deck slabs, cast in embedments and aligning of crane rail beams). Berth 12 was then constructed and comprised a mirror image of Berth 11.
