Captain Bishop Bridge

Port of Brisbane, Queensland

Due to extensive growth of the Port of Brisbane, the Captain Bishop Bridge and associated roads at Fisherman Islands needed to be upgraded. The upgrade project was completed in August 2011, and included construction of a duplicate Captain Bishop bridge, replacement of the existing bridge, and an upgrade of the Lucinda Drive and Port Drive interchange.

EXEGEN was the sole surveyor involved in the bridge structure, which comprised a new three lane bridge over the boat passage with three spans approximately 24 metres apart (including deck girders, a topping slab and an asphalt running surface).
