    Tinana Interchange Upgrade

    Tinana, Queensland

    The Tinana Interchange project is located on the Bruce Highway approximately 5km southwest of Maryborough in Queensland.

    The upgrade included the construction of a northbound off-ramp (including demolition of existing bridge overpass); the relocation of the Three Mile Road intersection about 300-metres south of its current location; removal of the southbound off-ramp to Gympie Road; and upgrade of the existing southbound on-ramp and incorporation of a wide centre line treatment to provide greater separation of opposing directions of traffic.

    Works included:

    • road – earthworks, drainage, bridge approach works, pavement, lighting, line marking and signage, landscaping and retaining wall construction;
    • construction of the main overpass structures, piling for bridge foundation, abutment construction, placement of precast deck units, in-situ concrete deck, deck wearing surface and bridge barrier construction; and
    • installation of public utility plant, road lighting, fencing and landscaping.
