The Go Between Bridge is a landmark inner city project that includes a four-lane cross-river bridge designed to increase accessibility to and from some of Brisbane’s most popular recreational, cultural, educational and residential precincts either side of the Brisbane River.
Our scope of works involved surveying services for the construction of a 27 metre wide, 300 metre long twin concrete box girder, balanced cantilever four lane bridge. The main span was 117 metres in length and supported by two piers approximately 80 metres from each river bank. At either end of the bridge intersection upgrades were required with a 2 lane overpass, 160 metres long, directing traffic from the Riverside Express Way over the northern abutment onto Coronation Drive. EXEGEN’s involvement included the survey manager and three surveying crews.
