    Bundamba Wastewater Treatment Plant

    Bundamba, Queensland

The BAWTP stage 1a has the capacity to produce 20 mega-litres of highly purified recycled water each day.  The process used microfiltration and reverse osmosis membranes coupled with an advanced oxidation to remove impurities producing water fit for human consumption.  The scope of works involved removal of existing structures, bulk earthworks including excavation and imported fill.  Structures included a new raw water pump station, microfiltration building, reverse osmosis building, treated water storage tanks, chemical treatment area, treated water pumping station.  Internally there was a sealed road network and operations buildings with kilometres of underground services.
